Ghost + Writing과 같은 개념으로, 자신이 직접 트윗팅하는게 아니라 대리자가 해주는 것을 일컫는다. 단문 블로그(Micro blogging)를 바탕으로한 SNS로 자리잡은 트위터 세계에서 Ghost Tweeting은 꺼리는 대상.
유명인이나 정치인이 트위터를 한다고 해서 따라가 봤더니 소통은 없고 대리자가 단순 홍보용으로만 쓰고 있다면? 김연아 @Yunaaaa처럼 굉장한 인기를 얻지 않는 한 바로 unfollow 당할 뿐이다. 반대로, Ghost Tweeting이라 할지라도 소통을 개을리 하지 않아 다른이가 전혀 눈치채지 못하거나 알아도 좋게 넘어가는 사례도 있다.
특이한 사례, Guy Gawasaki는 오프라인에서의 유명세와 함께 13만 Follower & Following을 자랑하는데 얼마전 Ghost Tweeting임이 밝혀져 많은이에게 충격을 줬다. 재미있는건 그 다음인데, 대리자의 인터뷰가 뜨면서 미모의 여성이라는 사실이 밝혀지자 오히려 환호와 함께 following이 늘었다. (출처 : @likejazz)
